Death of Mr. Naylor
Augustus Henry Naylor was born in the state of
Illinois Sept. 8, 1863, and died in the village of Humphreys, Missouri, age 88 years 11
months and 20 days.
He was married to Mary Ann Houser about the year
1859, after his marriage he came to Missouri and to this union was born 10 children, six
girls and four boys. The four boys having preceded him in death, three of them more than
forty years ago. The girls are all living and five of them are here at this hearing,
namely: Mrs. D.L. Scott Humphreys, Mo., Mrs. W.K. Callaway of Moline, ILL., Mrs. R.W.
Means of Laredo, Mo., Mrs. L.W. Broom of St. Joseph, Mo., and Mrs. Hollingworth of
Trenton, Mo. His daughter, Mrs. John Nash, of Palmyra, Neb., was not present, having just
returned home preceding his death, from the bedside of her father.
He was the grandfather of 17 children and the great
grandfather of 27 children. He leaves to mourn his loss, 6 daughters, 17 grandchildren, 27
great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
He belived with all his heart that Jesus was the son
of God, and confessed Him with his mouth.
Mr. and Mrs. Ora Hickman, Mrs. Leonard Boxwell
accompanied Mrs. Clarence Stuart home from Iowa; they came by motor and will return home
in a few days. |
