LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
MARY (Gamble) CRAIG

Will Book 2, page 277

In the name of God Amen, I Mary Craig of Armstrong Township, in the County of Indiana, being of good health of body and of sound and disposing mind and
memory, do make and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say, I order that all my just debts, funeral expenses and charges of proving this, my last Will and Testament, be in the first place fully paid and satisfied out of my personal Estate.  I give and bequeath to the heirs of my son, John Craig, dec'd the sum of One Dollar, I give and bequeath to my son
Patrick Craig, the sum of One Dollar, I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Johnston, the sum of One Dollar, I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Campbell, the sum of One Dollar, I give and bequeath to my son Hugh Craig, the sum of One Dollar.  I give and bequeath all my Real Estate and all my personal property to the legal heirs of my son Hugh Craig, share and share alike, when the youngest of said heirs shall arrive at the age of twenty-one years, and do hereby appoint my son, Hugh Craig, superintend and manage all my Estate, both Real and Personal, for the use and benefit of said heirs, for their maintenance and
education, during their minority, until the youngest of said heirs shall come of age (that is at twenty-one years) the said heirs shall pay my son, Hugh Craig and his wife the sum of Sixty Dollars each and every year during their natural lives and if the wife should survive him the said heirs shall pay the Sixty Dollars to her during her natural life, and in the case all the said heirs shall die before they come of age, then my son Hugh Craig and his wife shall have my Real Estate and all my personal property to their maintenance, during their natural lives or the survivor of them, and if such be the case that none of the said heirs shall arrive at the age of twenty-one years, then at the decease of my son Hugh Craig and his wife, my will is that my Real Estate shall be divided between the heirs of my son John Craig, deceased.  I do hereby appoint Johnston McCreight and Richard Develin my lawful Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills made by me.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the twenty-third day of May Eighteen hundred and forty-three.
